As part of strengthening international cooperation and sharing expertise in arbitration and commercial law, JUDr. David Řezníček, LL.M., Ph.D., from the law firm of Řezníček & Co., attended the Joint Turkish—Czech Arbitration and Business Law Conference held on March 7 and 8, 2024 in Istanbul, Turkey. His lecture on “The supervisory function of courts after the issuance of arbitral awards - the possibility of annulment of arbitral awards and the control function in the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards” represented an important contribution to the discussion on the role of courts in international arbitration. The conference was organized in partnership between the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and the International Court Of Arbitration In Prague (PRIAC). Participants had the opportunity to exchange experience and knowledge on a wide range of topics from domestic and international arbitration, to the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitration awards, to investment law and investment protection.
