JUDr. David Řezníček represented our firm at the round table on the development of arbitration held at the Dunaj Palace.
The Dunaj Palace in Prague — venue of the round table on arbitration

On 4 June 2026, a round table dedicated to the development of arbitration in the Czech Republic took place at the Dunaj Palace in Prague. The event was organised by the Czech Institute for the Popularisation and Revitalisation of Arbitration (CZIPRA) in cooperation with the Czech Bar Association. Leading figures of the Czech arbitration community — arbitrators, attorneys and representatives of professional institutions — gathered around one table to discuss how to strengthen confidence in arbitration and its standing within the legal landscape.

Our firm was represented by JUDr. David Řezníček, LL.M., Ph.D., who took an active part in the discussion. Arbitration is one of the areas he has long focused on — among other roles, as Vice-Chairman of the Presidium of the International Arbitration Court in Prague at the CMCE (PRIAC).

The discussion focused on several topics crucial to the future of Czech arbitration: unifying the hitherto fragmented arbitration community, modernising the legal environment towards international standards, strengthening the predictability and efficiency of proceedings, and education in arbitration.

For our clients, arbitration is in many cases a faster and more discreet alternative to court litigation. We therefore follow developments in this area and take an active part in the professional debate on its direction.
