JUDr. David Řezníček, LL.M., Ph.D.

Managing Partner, Attorney and Arbitrator

Managing attorney and partner of Řezníček & Co. s.r.o., where he has worked since 1997. In his practice he has long combined advocacy with institutional arbitration, with a strong focus on dispute resolution and international commercial arbitration.

Education

He began his career after graduating from the Faculty of Law of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen in 2000 and has practised as an attorney since 2005.

He is also a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague, where he obtained the JUDr. degree and subsequently defended his doctoral thesis on institutional international commercial arbitration (Ph.D.). He completed his education at the London International Graduate School, where he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree.

Professional activities

He is a recognised expert in arbitration. He is an arbitrator and member of the Presidium of the International Arbitration Court PRIAC and an active arbitrator at several other permanent arbitration courts – the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic, the Arbitration Court of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Kazakhstan International Arbitrage (KIA).

Besides advocacy, he has experience of serving on the statutory and supervisory boards of major companies.

Teaching

He worked as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of the University of South Bohemia and as an external lecturer at the Faculty of Management of the Prague University of Economics and Business and at the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia.

Publications and conferences

He is the author or co-author of numerous professional articles published in Bulletin advokacie, Rekodifikace & praxe (Wolters Kluwer) and on the epravo.cz portal, and takes an active part in academic conferences.
